Target Audience

There are two magazine that I do the research on which are Q and Kerrang Music Magazine. By comparing these two magazine together both in data on which catagories of people will read these two magazine and also from search for some images to comparing by the style of their cover.

For Q magazine number of catagories of people are high:
ABC1 - 444 / C2DE - 222 / 15-44 - 572 / 45+ - 94 / men - 513 / women - 153 especially the numbers of age between 15 - 44 are quit high and most of the reader are men with the Socio-economic classifications in ABC1. Which mean that these people are a well educated.






As for Kerrang Magazine the number are also hight too:
ABC1 - 239 / C2DE - 178 / 15-44 - 378 / 45+ - 39 / men - 290 / women - 127, and they have the same out come on their target audience but only different in numbers. However, after comparing these two I have dicide my target audience to be around 15 - 44 which you can see that both of these magazine did get a high number on them. But which of these are the most popular and more wildly I'll go for the Q magazine. Because both their cover's style and their genre of music are more open and more invited to a wide range catagory of people.

After research through both of theses magazine, I decide my target audience for my magazine to be in both gender, at the age 16 -30. The music genre for magazine will be forcus on Rock or Pop rock.

Main Course work: Introduction

For this main course work task I have been assigned to do is the Music Magazine. For this magazine I will design a magazine front cover, content page, double page spread for a new music magazine, and also the genre or style of music magazine. The objective for this magazine is that I have to decide how am I going to create magazine that will match my target audience's concepts through pictures, font, languages, color, or page set up style. This task will also to show the development of my skills from my preliminary task, which is the College Magazine.

Evaluation

This is the finish of collage magazine. This is the first time that I have been creating a magazine and using program in my opinion I think I did fine but still too plain for me. I've been through some difficulty on what color and font I'm going to use. Main flash is quit light so I have to use colors that are brighter than the background. I try not to use too colorful because if I use too colorful plus a fansy font it will look too playful which can change my target audience. In some part of the cover and the contents are some changes of the font that i made which I didn't follow my flatplan because when I do it on the computer I can see the feeling and the posibility of color and stlye more clear then on flatplan. I think I could done the cover better and some more details on the contents, but I'm please with the head title and the color of darkblue that I choose for the cover most. My target audience for this magazine are teenagers and also adult of both gender because there are some details that adult will be interested in (18+). I would happy if you can comment on my magazine what target audience it might be better for this or is it alright this way.

Flat Plans

I know that it might be hard to see the flat plans of my magazine, so sorry about that. At the bottom is the cover of the magazine that I've have made with the Title of " Pick & Peek". My Mianflash was the person on the cover and I write her name on the top left corner. For my main sells are: School Gallery, Nice places to hang out in Lewes, and Tips for the student about how to sucsess in their study. Along with Month and Year of the magazine. For the contents on your right, I laid out the position of each topic in a criscross way so it will be easy to read and some space for me to put some pictures as a backup for some topics. I draft out some idea on what kind of font that I might use for both cover and contents. I try not to let it looks too playful or too serious because my target audience is around 18+. Especially font of magazine cover, each of the topics I will use a font that go along will with the topic.

Introduction

For AS Media Class, I am working on a College Magazine. For the cover image the picture that I have assigned to do need to be in a Medium close up, which should be from the mid-chest up.
And for the angle should be a straight shot, no taking on the high angle or low angle. My target audience for this magazine is around 18 and up.

Analysing the two pictures

Between these two pictures that have been taken by me. For the first image is the example of good picture taken and the second one is the bad picture taken. This picture will be appear in the college magazine that I've been working on and I want your comment about the images.
